Iasta Develops Sourcing Solution for Overlooked Market Segment
New Program Developed to Deliver Benefits to Companies under $300,000,000 in Sales

The new Iasta division, which has been named Iasta SMS (Small to Mid-Sized Solutions), will be headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The successful pilot of this new offering and supporting office will be expanded immediately to the Minneapolis, Minnesota and Indianapolis, Indiana markets. Iasta SMS currently has plans to open between three and six offices during 2004 and an additional six the following year.

The SMS initiative is built on the concept of providing "on-demand", risk-free services for smaller companies which are not prepared or willing to make a significant investment in e-Sourcing. This method of utilizing reverse auctions, forward auctions, and e-RFx functionality has proven successful for many smaller organizations that wish to participate in the benefits of e-Sourcing. "The response from our beta customers to the structure and value of the SMS program has been tremendous. There is a large group of businesses which understand e-Sourcing but to date has had no ability to take advantage of it," said Terry Coonan, Director of the SMS office.
