Indiana Association of Cities and Towns and Iasta Partner to Provide Reverse Auction Purchasing to Local Government in Indiana
Indianapolis, IN, June 6, 2005Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) recently finalized its partnership with Iasta, a leading provider of e-Sourcing tools and services. The newly formed affiliation provides IACT with a stable business partner and provides local government statewide with a reverse auction technology provider with a company that has sourced billions of dollars for public and private organizations. Bringing together this experience and technology to local governments across Indiana, IACT and Iasta hope to save taxpayers money through the usage of electronic open bidding.
Known as "reverse auctions," Iasta will provide professional sourcing expertise to public entities in Indiana in an effort to reduce costs for purchases that qualify under Indiana code IC 5-22-7.5. Iasta and IACT have already processed a number of successful bids to be executed through the system.
