About the Software
SmartSource SRM® is a SaaS application that consists of both a thin-client web interface and a thick-client installed Windows application. It is developed using a combination of ASP.NET/C# and Delphi. SmartSource SRM® enables companies to manage their sourcing process by providing online RFx/survey functionality to gather information from potential suppliers, evaluation functionality to review and score supplier responses, bid collection functionality to collect pricing from supplier through various methods such as sealed bids or live, competitive, reverse auctions, an optimization engine to quickly analyze different award scenarios, and contract management to track sourcing contracts.
About the Position
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with both the Development and Operations teams. You will be responsible for developing and implementing manual and automated test plans, researching and recommending new testing tools and techniques, actively participating in agile development iterations to identify defects as early as possible, and debugging issues found in production.
To be considered for this position you must be highly motivated and posses a strong work ethic. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You must be able to clearly communicate with both programmers and business representatives to help identify, analyze, and resolve issues, including working with customers to debug high priority production issues. You must be a self-starter and enjoy learning new skills and technologies and sharing that knowledge with your peers and co-workers.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 5+ years software testing experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience creating and running automated test scripts
- Experience developing custom automated QA solutions when required
- Experience with load and performance testing of web based applications
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- 2+ years object oriented software development experience
- Experience generating SQL queries
