About the Software
SmartSource SRM® is a SaaS application that consists of both a thin-client web interface and a thick-client installed Windows application. It is developed using a combination of ASP.NET/C# and Delphi. SmartSource SRM® enables companies to manage their sourcing process by providing online RFx/survey functionality to gather information from potential suppliers, evaluation functionality to review and score supplier responses, bid collection functionality to collect pricing from supplier through various methods such as sealed bids or live, competitive, reverse auctions, an optimization engine to quickly analyze different award scenarios, and contract management to track sourcing contracts.
About the Position
Iasta is looking to hire senior software developers with sound object-oriented development and design skills to enhance our Windows-based client/server SaaS application. The developers will work as an integral part of our development team to help design and enhance the system.
The successful candidates will poses expertise and experience developing object oriented applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced, growing team environment. Demonstration of sound development practices and object oriented design skills are a must. A Senior Software Developer will be responsible for advanced programming tasks as well as mentoring other developers, reviewing and providing constructive feedback on team member’s code, working with architects to develop technical scopes (designs) and performing reviews of designs from other architects and senior software developers.
Required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Expert level knowledge of ASP.NET/C# and AJAX
- Strong object-oriented software development skills as demonstrated through successful experience using multiple object-oriented languages
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases and syntax
- Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, and the XML APIs: DOM and SAX
- Experience developing client-server and/or SaaS applications
- Dedicated work ethic to deliver results rapidly
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work both independently and with a team, working together to solve problems in the most effective way
- Passion for learning new skills and technologies and sharing that knowledge with peers and co-workers
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years related work experience
Helpful Extras
- Working knowledge of common design patterns
- Systems experience with both Windows and Linux server architectures and networking
- Strong graphical aesthetic design skills
- Thought-leadership as demonstrated through participation in online forums or blogs, professional groups, open source projects, or other equivalent outlets
